Despite his young age, he has already collaborated with several prestigious ensembles, including the Orchestre National de Lille, the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, and the Gstaad Festival Orchestra.

From January 2024 to June 2025, he served as Assistant Conductor to Michael Sanderling with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, where he gained significant artistic experience and was closely involved in the orchestra’s musical work.
From an early stage of his career, Francesco Cagnasso has collaborated with numerous renowned orchestras in Switzerland and abroad, including the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, the St. Gallen Symphony Orchestra, the Mecklenburg State Orchestra Schwerin, the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra, the Bodensee Philharmonic Orchestra, the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, and the Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra.
Upcoming engagements include concerts with the Musikkollegium Winterthur.
